2025 Tao Oasis Press Conference
On September 9, 2025, a press conference was held to launch the "2025 Taoyuan Art Oasis Creation Project," officially announcing that this year's three selected works, "Needles," "Theatre Interaction: Nascent Action" by Chen Jiasheng Studio, and "Coming to Tomioka" by 30 Dance Theater, will now be available for sale on the OPENTIX system.
The creative focus, "Needles," uses Velcro as its creative core, combining aerial techniques and juggling to challenge physical senses and physical boundaries, leading the audience to explore the infinite possibilities of everyday objects. Chen Jiasheng Studio's "Theatre Interaction: A Nascent Action" curates and brings together five local, multidisciplinary performing arts groups in Taoyuan, transforming the Michang Theater and its surrounding areas into a stage for exchange. Visitors will experience a fusion of creative energy and local culture through a multi-site performance, showcasing the diverse possibilities of theater as a community gathering place. Thirty Dance Theater's "To and From Tomioka" crosses the boundaries of the city and railways. In conjunction with the "2025 Tomioka Railway Art and Life Festival," the performance will feature a moving train and platform traveling between Taoyuan and Tomioka, connecting real space with illusory atmospheres through the language of dance theater, offering passengers an unprecedented and alternative travel experience.
